Just like Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh had been on my Bucket list for a long time. Being out there in the mountains, amidst breathtaking views is such a humbling feeling!
Our Journey began from Kashmir. We drove from Srinagar to Leh via Kargil. After the initial acclimatization to the high altitude, we went on to Khardung La Pass, which is at an elevation of 17,582 ft! The brilliant snow capped mountain ranges and blue skies were a sight to see! We then went to Nubra valley which is a desert & the home of Double Humped camels. Turtuk village is the last Northernmost village on India border, and. we could spot both the Indian army as well as Pakistani army stationed within the mountain ranges! From there we made our way to Pangong Tso. All our exhaustion flew out the window once we reached the sparking blue waters of the highest saltwater lake in the world. Back to Leh, and then sightseeing and exploring Leh town, before heading home. Hearts full, Mind blown and exhua
