As a professional wedding photographer and a childhood friend of Biplab, this wedding shoot is very close to my heart.  Gettin to capture the essence of their wedding & freezing the precious memories in time, I couldn’t help but feel privileged to be a part of such an extraordinary celebration of love.

 

In the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, amidst the opulent halls of the ITC Maratha, a love story unfolded—  a tale of two souls from opposite ends of the globe, bound by a bond that defied distance, culture, and even a global pandemic. Melissa, with her radiant smile and infectious laughter, and Biplab, with his gentle demeanor and unwavering charm, came together in a union that was a joy to photograph. Amidst the chaos of lockdowns and social distancing, Melissa and Biplab found solace in each other’s company, forging a connection that grew stronger with each passing day.

 

The festivities began with the vibrant energy of the Sangeet, a celebration filled with laughter, joy, and the rhythmic beats of dance.

The wedding day started with the Haldi ceremony—a ritual steeped in tradition and symbolism. From there, the day unfolded into a spectacle of Bengali traditions, as Melissa and Biplab exchanged vows in a ceremony that honored the heritage and celebrated their love. The day drew to a close with a reception where friends and family came together to bless the gorgeous couple.

 

Amidst the rituals and festivities, one thing remained constant—the palpable love that radiated between Melissa and Biplab. Their eyes sparkled with joy, their smiles illuminated the room, and their love touched the hearts of all who bore witness. Being a wedding photographer, it is a delight to not just witness, but be able to capture this love.
